A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

Please allow me to thank all of our members that came out on Thursday for our Church Conference. We did not have the number of members in attendance that I had hoped for but we had enough concerned members to carry on the business of our Church. We received good reports from every area. Our finances did not go down in spite of an economic downturn. The Pastor’s Vision presentation continues to charge us to do better. It requires all of our officers to lead in the area of Stewardship: Worship: Bible Study: and overall attendance. Our finances remain constant. We were successful in making a vast number of improvements in our physical facility as well as increase our membership numbers. We have more members in Prayer Service and Bible Study on a consistent basis than before. More of our Members are being equipped with Spiritual Gift information that is being used to help identify our spiritual strengths.
INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS: During our Church Conference, we completed the process of accepting all of the officers being presented for Installation today. All officers should be reminded that Stewardship is a requirement and anyone not incompliance will be notified by the Church Office. You can't lead from behind. Thank you.
WORSHIP WITH FIRST BAPTIST: We have a lot happening today. At 6:00 p.m. we worship with First Baptist on Kennedy, our Mother Church. I am requesting that we plan to arrive by 5:30 p.m. We are asking all departments to participate. Special service will be required of all officers, the Choir and the Ushers. Thank you.
STEWARDSHIP COMMITTMENT: Please begin this year by cooperating with the previous request of our Trustee Board that we would complete and turn in our Stewardship Commitment cards. Our Trustees do a great job of Financial Management. They can do an even better job but they need us to cooperate by completing these cards. The last three months, we have made Tithing Commitment Cards available. Please obtain a commitment card from the Ushers. We need every member to complete and turn in commitment cards today. These cards will help us to better plan our program expenses for the year 2012. Thank you.
CHURCH THEME FOR 2012: This year we are planning to build on last year's success with our new Theme for 2012: "Empowering the pew for the work of redemption. Our theme compliments the four-fold goals of our Church: "saving the lost; moving members to discipleship; investing in our children and being of service to our community". I believe that God is going to do great things through the membership of this Church as we utilize our God given gifts to give Glory to God.
DEBT REDUCTION AND WEALTH BUILDING: The next class is set for Friday, March 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. These classes are designed to demonstrate some of the steps that we can take to reduce credit card debt and helpful debt reduction strategies.
EVANGELISM: Our next door to door Ministry is scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. We have gotten off to a good start but we can do better if all of us would get involved. The most important Ministry we have in our Church is Evangelism. Evangelism only works if we work.

MID-DAY BIBLE STUDY: This week, our Mid-Week Bible Study will be presented in Convocation at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary and our Mid-Day Bible study at 12 noon on Tuesday, Please be reminded that a light meal will be served on Wednesday Evening. You do not have to go home. Come
right in and get a helpful and healthy meal. Thank you.
