Be a “BIG” for the “Little” – A Call to Serve
After the closure of our adopted school Just Elementary School in May 2023, most students were reassigned to Tampa Bay Elementary, with others going to Booker T. Washington and Dunbar Magnet. We are now focusing our full support on Tampa Bay Elementary. Under the leadership of Lead Servant, Pastor Alan Harris, Beulah Baptist Institutional Church in partnership with The Barbara L. Higgins Legacy Corporation, Hillsborough County Public Schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Project LINK and the NAACP Tampa Branch have formed a coalition to address the needs of students in our community.
This initiative has been endorsed by Mayor Jane Castor, and Dr. Van Ayres, Superintendent of Hillsborough County Schools, has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community's unified support. Now, we need YOU.
GIVE 30 MINUTES A WEEK. CHANGE A LIFE.
Our GOD blesses us with over 100,000 minutes each week—and the average person spends more than 3,000 minutes weekly on mobile devices.
We’re asking for just 30 minutes of your time each week to LISTEN, ENCOURAGE, and ADVOCATE for a child—no academic instruction required.
This is not about teaching reading, writing, or math. It’s about discipling a child through compassion, presence, and faith.
Join us in this most important assignment. By investing just a half hour a week, you can profoundly impact a child’s life and future.
