Pastor Alan Harris, a native of St. Louis, Missouri commenced his preaching ministry at the age of nineteen and has served in full time ministry since he was twenty two years old. Pastor Harris, has the distinct and signal honor of serving as the Lead Servant of the historic Beulah Baptist Institutional Church in Tampa, Florida.
Rev. Harris graduated from John E Lewis High School (formerly Robert E. Lee High School) in Springfield, Virginia. He then obtained his B.A. in Biblical Studies from Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland. His hunger and desire to be enriched intellectually and spiritually led him to matriculate at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he obtained his Masters of Divinity Degree and Masters of Theology Degree (Th. M). Realizing continued growth is a must, Pastor Harris is currently working on an Executive Master’s of Business Administration at Virginia Union University.
Rev. Harris is dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to everyone he comes in contact with. Believing the gospel is to be heard to “the ends of the earth,” Rev. Harris has been afforded the opportunity of preaching in Austria, Toronto, Kenya and Haiti. As Rev. Harris is a strong advocate for social justice matters, he is also a member of the NAACP.
Rev. Harris is an avid sports fan who also enjoys traveling, reading and watching movies. Though Rev. Harris acknowledges he has been tremendously blessed by God, Rev. Harris considers family one of God’s biggest blessings to him. He has been married to the lady of his dreams and lifelong best friend Joy L. Harris for 16 years and they are the proud parents of their beloved son Isaiah Alan Harris, who is currently 11 years old.
